Questions About Donations

I donated to Biden for President Campaign or the Harris Victory Fund – what happens to my donation now?

If you donate to Tennesseans for Kamala / Win Tennessee PAC, your contributions will go directly to efforts in Tennessee related to the federal campaign.

We are not the Biden for President Campaign or the Harris Victory Fund, but from what we know, as President Biden’s running mate, Vice President Harris will be taking over the Biden campaign and all funds will go to the same committees, which are now named Harris for President and Harris Victory Fund. If you previously donated to President Biden’s campaign or have a recurring contribution to either campaign, you do not need to do anything to ensure your contribution goes to Vice President Harris’ campaign. If you have maxed out to either entity, your maxed out status still applies.

What is the Harris Victory Fund?

What are the requirements to donate?

You may make a donation to the PAC if you:

Are a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
Contribute from your own funds. You cannot contribute funds that are being provided by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
Are at least eighteen years old.
Are not a federal contractor.
Are making this contribution with your own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
Win Tennessee PAC does not accept contributions from corporations or their PACs, unions, federal contractors, national banks, those registered as federal lobbyists or under FARA, SEC-named executives of fossil fuel companies, or foreign nationals.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Contributions to Win Tennessee PAC are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.

Will I receive a receipt?

A donation receipt will be sent to you at the email address you provide on the donation form. Although contributions to Tennesseans for Kamala and Win Tennessee PAC are not tax deductible, please be sure to keep a copy of your receipt for tax purposes. If you select a recurring donation, you will be sent an individual receipt for each donation made when your donation is processed.

What are the requirements to vote?

Voter registration requirements are different in every state. Generally, you can vote in U.S. federal, state, and local elections if you:

Are a U.S. citizen (some areas allow non-citizens to vote in local elections only)
Meet your state’s residency requirements (in some states, you can be experiencing homelessness and still meet these requirements).
Are 18 years old on or before Election Day (in some states, you can register to vote before you turn 18 if you will be 18 by Election Day).
Are registered to vote by your state’s voter registration deadline. While Tennessee and most states require it, North Dakota does not require voter registration.
